Yes, you must have an appointment.  

To make an appointment you can call us at 438 558 2484 or go through Clic Santé.

 

Our appointments with the doctor are a minimum of 20 minutes. We believe this is the minimum time necessary to properly assess your health needs. Longer appointments are possible depending on your needs.

You can book your appointment with the administrative officer. Once we have your details, we will send you a secure link by email or SMS and contact you at the time of your appointment. Please ensure that you are in a quiet area where your privacy can be respected and that your camera and microphone are working.

We ask that you cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance to avoid the $30 cancellation fee. Please understand that by not attending your appointment, you are taking up space that could be used by someone else in need.

Not all conditions can be adequately diagnosed and treated by virtual medicine. Here is a list of conditions that can be assessed via virtual medicine:

  • mental health problems;

  • many skin problems;

  • urinary tract (women only), sinus and minor skin infections;

  • sore throat ;

  • redness of the eyes without pain or change in vision;

  • sexual health ;

  • travel-related health care ;

    conditions monitored using home appliances and/or laboratory tests;

  • and review of test results and specialist reports.

Medical problems that cannot be treated without a physical examination in person are NOT suitable for virtual care. These include:

  • Chest pain;

  • breathlessness ;

  • loss of sight ;

  • hearing loss ;

  • sudden weakness or numbness ;

  • ear pain ;

  • cough ;

  • abdominal or digestive problems; and

  • muscle and joint injuries.

If you are unsure, please contact us and we will help you determine if a face-to-face appointment is best for you.

We will give you an appointment as quickly as possible, depending on your health condition, which may take 24 to 48 hours. However, if your health problem is an emergency, we suggest that you call 911.

No, we do not charge you for opening a patient file.

You pay for the consultation and certain services that you can choose and that are offered by our clinic. Please see our fees page. However, if you wish to consult a specialist or if you need additional tests, you can be referred to the public sector which is covered by the government (RAMQ).

We accept cash, debit cards and some credit cards. We do not accept cheques. Payment must be made on the day of your appointment.

Yes, our clinic is wheelchair accessible.

Some insurances cover the cost of our consultations and other services. Please check with your insurance company for more information. We do not make claims on your behalf but will provide you with an itemized receipt for your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, our fees are tax deductible.

The time it takes to receive results varies depending on the type of test and the urgency of the situation. Blood tests usually take 24 to 48 hours. Swab, urine or stool tests can take between 2 days and 2 weeks. An urgent X-ray may take 24-48 hours, other imaging studies usually take longer (e.g. several weeks for an MRI).

Unfortunately, we do not offer blood sampling at this time, but we hope to do so in the future.

Sofy is a secure platform through which you can receive messages from your doctor, make appointments and view your list of past and future appointments.
